Looking for a way to make your life better? Want to realize
your dreams? Missing the secrets of abundance? Feel like something
is holding you back and you cannot break free? Desire something
more (or less)? More chocolate? Less stress?
"Just do it! " may work in sports; but even the
best athletes have coaches to help them reach their full potential.
Moving beyond old behaviors and thought patterns to the fulfilling,
powerful life you want (and deserve!) takes creative exploration
and experimentation.
It takes life coaching.
Life coaching is a practical way to expand your life--and
yourself--beyond what you currently think is possible. It
can help you find within yourself a boundless, abundant life
filled with success, satisfaction, purpose, and direction.
During coaching you'll learn how to overcome self-limiting
behaviors and emotional chaos that may be holding you back.
Coaching is a tool for discovering your core values and developing
a life that honors those. As your life coach, my goal is to
help you actively choose your path through life instead of
unconsciously reacting to situations or failing to see your
options.
I know you have questions about how coaching works, who I
am and how working together can benefit you. Read on
and for you inquisitive types, explore the additional topics
in the side bar.
What Is Life Coaching?
Coaching is a creative collaborative process in a supportive
environment where you can freely discuss personal and professional
challenges, develop plans and solutions, discover your truest
dreams and create a boundless life on your own terms.
What Does a Life Coach Do?
Imagine having someone who is completely on your side. A
caring listener who does not judge. A compassionate voice
who views things from a different perspective. A trained professional
to guide you over, under, around and through tough spots.
A tireless cheerleader who sees your magnificence and reveals
it to you.
Am I the Life Coach for You?
In searching for my own life-change solutions, I soon realized
that creative, entrepreneurial, free-spirited, right-brained
people (like you) need solutions that fit their way of working,
thinking and responding to the world. My
life coaching embraces creativity and promotes self-guided
resolution for people seeking a boundless life on their own
terms.
How Do We Work Together?
Through the magic of technology, you and I can "meet"
regularly from anywhere in the world. All you need is a phone;
a comfortable, private place and your undivided attention.
Then you give me a call at your prescheduled time. Depending
upon your needs, you choose both the length of the sessions
(30 or 45 minutes) and how often we meet (two or four times
a month). Although most clients opt for regular appointments
at the same time on the same day of the week, we can schedule
each appointment individually if your work or life schedule
calls for it.
What Concerns can Coaching Address?
The personal and professional issues that bring people to
coaching are as unique as they are. I've coached on issues
as diverse as finding a life mate, changing a career, even
(believe it or not), a bad manicure. Other topics and concerns
include:
Creating a long-term vision for your life--and a plan
to help you get there
Figuring out what isn't working for you--and discovering
how to change it
Making a major life change--easily
Finding happiness and fulfillment now--instead of waiting
for that mythical "someday"
Getting motivated to get into action--and then staying
motivated
Simplifying your life--without giving up anything that
matters
Adding creativity, fun, adventure, or whatever to your
life--on your terms
Discovering what really matters to you--and learning how
to incorporate that into your life
In other words, if you want to make a change, I'm here to
help.
The Power Of Coaching
There are many common self-improvement themes (clutter, procrastination,
exercise and weight loss are always in the top 10 "I
need help" lists). Coaching approaches your personal
and professional issues as obstacles as unique as you are.
Through life coaching, we look together at the underlying
causes (poor self-image, not being true to yourself, negative
internal messages) that hold you back, as well as brainstorm
practical solutions to the specific issue. In other words,
I'll help you figure out why you're a clutterbug, as well
as help you come up with ways for dealing with the clutter.
Or we'll work on your desire and motivation to become a full-time
artist. We can address the practical life style changes that
you'll encounter along with the emotional support you need
to leave your 9-to-5 job.
Let me give you a few specific coaching situations I've helped
clients tackle. (I'm using initials only because of my privacy
policy, but I have permission from each client to use them
as examples.)
MZ, a self-employed personal trainer, had always wanted
to publish a fitness calendar. After just three months of
working with me, she did!
VZH, a corporate HR executive with some serious health
issues, was working 60 to 70 hours a week. She wanted to
slow down so she could get healthy enough to have a baby.
She switched careers to pharmaceutical sales, which gave
her more control of her own time. Her health has improved,
and she's getting ready to start that family. Now, we're
talking about how to integrate a baby into her life.
After a bunch of difficult life changes, SF decided to
try to make it as a freelance writer. When she started working
with me, she (in her own words) felt like she was at a bottom
of a pit. She is now turning away clientsand has written
twelve books!
How Can I Benefit from Coaching?
The benefits of coaching are virtually unlimited. Actually,
it's a question of what you want. Coaching can help you
feel better about yourself
set goals and reach them
make major life changes
follow your dreams
No matter what brings you to coaching - a barrier you can't
surmount, a dream you long to fulfill, a life challenge that
seems too hard to tackle - what you'll take away will continue
to serve you long after you've stopped coaching. Not only
will you have the knowledge and the tools you need to handle
almost every stumbling block you'll come across, but you'll
also have the power and the assurance to use them. Just think
of your life filled with more confidence and less worry, more
peace and less stress! (And of course, more chocolate!)
How Do I Know Coaching is For Me?
Life coaching requires you to jump in with your eyes wide
open and take charge of your life! However, not everyone is
at that stage, so I've created a handy-dandy Manage Your Muse
Ready for Coaching Quiz. It only takes a few minutes (enough
time for a chocolate break), is perfectly painless and best
of all it's free!
What Will Coaching Cost Me?
Coaching is a long-term investment in YOUan investment
that will not only change your life for the better right now,
but will continue to reward you for years after you've quit
coaching. Now, let me tell you what you'll be investing in:
Regular telephone sessions at a scheduled time.
My undivided attention except when the cat decides
to tear through the office!
Cheering (pom-pom waving optional) and chocolate-sharing
as required.
A safe place to explore new options and approaches for
your life.
Fresh perspectives and honest (but never unkind) opinions.
Direction and focus on solutions that work for you.
Because I firmly believe that there is no such thing as "one
size fits all," whether in clothing or coaching, I have
several different options (and prices!) for coaching. Click
here for coaching options and pricing.

What others have to say about coaching with the Muse...
"I have always been a spiritual person, interested
in changing and growing, and on the quest for happiness. However,
I struggled for years to put my philosophical beliefs into
practice in a consistent, focused way. Coaching with Lynn
gives me a regular opportunity to evaluate my life, and work
towards my goals and dreams. This way I can create the life
I want instead of being victim to circumstances.
Coaching also gives me a forum to identify and confront
the problems that keep me going in circles. Depending on the
situation, Lynn will act as a sounding board for ideas, an
ear to listen, or a poser of questions."
- Kevin Wiggins, NJ
"When we met, I felt like I was at the bottom of
a pit. Lynn extended a friendly hand, aimed a light at the
ladder (which was hidden inside me) and guided me up and out.
The process has been filled with laughter, honesty and amazing
self-discovery. It is in my nature to be both practical and
creative.
Coaching offers me the practical solutions I feel comfortable
with and the creative approaches I need to be successful in
improving my personal life and career. I emphasize the WE
because it is a shared process like no other. Working with
Lynn has been one of the best ideas I ever came up with!"
- S.F., Sparks, NV
